Mizzou

One of the two former Big 12 foes of the Longhorns and Sooners that is now in the SEC could have a lot to lose by the additions of these schools. The Mizzou Tigers have found a decent amount of success, including two SEC East division crowns early in the run in the league in 2013 and 2014, and the additions of Texas and Oklahoma could hurt that.

The two former Big 12 foes of Texas and Oklahoma that are now in the SEC are Mizzou and the Texas A&M Aggies. But Texas A&M should have more resources available to stave off the threat of Texas and Oklahoma, especially in football, for the most part. Texas A&M will be in a tougher position for sure, but Mizzou will be pushed down even further in all likelihood.

A lot of the fate of Mizzou in the SEC, once the additions of Texas and Oklahoma are finalized, will depend on how the division/pod realignment could take place. If Mizzou is placed in a division that includes multiple blue bloods, the future success of the football program will largely be put at stake.

The saving grace for future football success for Mizzou could be if it still says in some form of an SEC East division with the likes of Tennessee, the Vanderbilt Commodores, South Carolina Gamecocks, etc.

How this process plays out of realignment within the SEC with any new pods and/or divisions will have the greatest impact in terms of football success for Mizzou.
