Now less than two weeks away from the start of the regular season, new Texas football head coach Steve Sarkisian is gearing up for what will be a tough Week 1 matchup. Texas opens up the regular season at home on Sep. 4 against the Louisiana Ragin-Cajuns. That will be the first test for Sark in what will be a difficult non-conference schedule altogether.

A big early challenge for Sark and the Longhorns will be getting the offense up and running at, or at least close to, max efficiency. Texas brought in Sark to replace Tom Herman as head coach largely for his offensive prowess and scheming.

Sark does have to first figure out who the starting quarterback will be. And then, it’s about figuring out how the rest of the pieces will come together to help Texas contend hopefully in the Big 12, and on the national stage, this fall.

Executing on the potential is the problem that faces the Longhorns year in and year in about the past decade.

Namely, the Longhorns fan base is excited to see who will step up in this new Sark offensive scheme this fall. Here’s a look into three underrated players ready to breakout on offense this fall under Sark.
