Up to No. 15 in this week’s AP Poll and Coaches Poll, the Texas football program is looking to capitalize on the momentum in the first road game of the season next weekend. Texas is set to take on the longtime rival Arkansas Razorbacks and head coach Sam Pittman on the night of Sep. 11, on the road in Fayetteville.

New head coach Steve Sarkisian and the Longhorns can get some real momentum headed into Big 12 play with a win over Arkansas next weekend. This will be one of the big battles that will keep a spotlight on the move for the Longhorns and Oklahoma Sooners from the Big 12 to the SEC.

How Steve Sarkisian can exploit the weaknesses of Arkansas in Week 2 for No. 15 Texas football?

If Texas can take down a rising Arkansas team on the road in Fayetteville, it would go a long way to prove that this team is for real heading into Big 12 play. And with how a lot of the other top presumed contenders in the Big 12 looked in Week 1, it’s safe to assume at the moment that the door is open for Texas to make its way into the Big 12 Championship Game this year.

Saying that Texas was the best-looking team out of the Big 12 in Week is definitely not out of the question. Texas looked good in a commanding 38-18 win over a very experienced and proven No. 23 ranked Louisiana Ragin’ Cajuns team.

Texas is a slight 4.5-point favorite over Arkansas in the betting line as of the afternoon of Sep. 7. And the ESPN matchup predictor (based on the Football Power Index) gives Texas a 67 percent chance to beat Arkansas on Sep. 11.

There are ways that Texas can go about exploiting weaknesses on this Arkansas team next weekend in a similar way to how Sark and his staff were able to find weaknesses in Louisiana. Here’s a look into three particular weaknesses that Sark and the Longhorns can find to exploit vs. Arkansas on Sep. 11.
