Yet another difficult matchup lies on tap for No. 15 ranked Texas football in the second game under new head coach Steve Sarkisian. After a big win at home in the regular season opener on Sep. 4 over the No. 23 ranked Louisiana Ragin’ Cajuns and head coach Billy Napier, Texas will take on a longtime rival on the road in the Arkansas Razorbacks.

Head coach Sam Pittman and the Hogs look to be on the rise this fall. Arkansas has a rebuffed coaching staff that seems to have the right personnel in place, at least compared to years past under former head coach Chad Morris.

Arkansas comes into this meeting with the Longhorns also sporting a 1-0 record. While the opposition wasn’t as difficult for Arkansas in the regular season opener compared to Texas, the Hogs did still come away with a good win in Week 1.

Texas football has some threats to worry about from Arkansas in Week 2

The Hogs took down the Rice Owls out of the Conference-USA by the final score of 38-17 at home on Sep. 4. Arkansas will now be looking to pull off the upset of Texas in the second straight home game to start off the regular season slate.

As of the late afternoon of Sep. 8, the Longhorns are a seven-point favorite of Arkansas in the spread. By most indications, the expectations hold that this Texas-Arkansas game will be a close one.

The environment and the athletes on the other team will be more challenging next weekend for sure for the Longhorns than in the opener at home against Louisiana.

Here’s a look into three problematic Razorbacks players for the Longhorns heading into Week 2.
