Following a big win over the Texas Tech Red Raiders for new head coach Steve Sarkisian and his squad, Texas football recruiting could reap some of the rewards on the trail in the near future. Texas got a dominant win that saw the offense explode for the second week in a row.

Sark and the Longhorns got this win over head coach Matt Wells and the Red Raiders on the late morning/late afternoon of Sep. 25 by the final score of 70-35. Texas blew the pregame spread out of the water and helped to generate some momentum heading into the thick of Big 12 play.

But what was also important about this big win over Texas Tech in the Big 12 opener was the fact that Texas hosted a number of big-time prospects on the recruiting trail for this game. Key prospects ranging from the 2022 recruiting class, all the way up to 2026, were at Darrell K. Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium this weekend for the Texas Tech game.

This was a good time for Texas to show out, and it looked to excite some of the top prospects that were both on campus for this game, or just watching it on television.

Texas needs to hit the ground running soon for the 2023 class, and needs to round out the 2022 class in solid fashion ahead of the Early Signing Period in a few months. Getting these types of results on the field this fall will continue to go a long way to helping Sark and the Longhorns find more immediate success on the recruiting trail.

With that in mind, here’s a look into four key recruits that were impressed by the Longhorns win over Texas Tech this weekend.
