A lot of focus is getting placed on the 2022 and 2023 Texas football recruiting classes at this point of the calendar year since there are some important visits coming up. Texas and new head coach Steve Sarkisian are getting set to host some really important visitors specifically on the weekend of the matchup against the Big 12 foe Oklahoma State Cowboys at home, which comes specifically on Oct. 16.

That lofty set of visitors that the Longhorns are set to host in the meeting with Oklahoma State at home on Oct. 16 could help to spark something on the recruiting trail. Texas is without a single five-star commit in the 2022 or 2023 class. With that in mind, here’s a look into three key Longhorns five-star prospects on the recruiting trail that could commit to the 2022 or 2023 class in October.
