A very nice win for new head coach Steve Sarkisian over the weekend over the stingy TCU Horned Frogs looks to continue to help put future Texas football recruiting classes in a very solid position throughout the rest of the fall. Texas has proved a point during the first two games of the Big 12 slate that this program is making strides under the new coaching staff.

But one of the biggest weeks lies ahead in terms of impact on the recruiting trail for the Longhorns. Texas now has the likes of head coach Lincoln Riley and the Oklahoma Sooners in the annual Red River Rivalry game in Dallas this coming weekend. If Texas can get the win over the rival Sooners on Oct. 9, it would extend the team’s winning streak to four games.

A win over Oklahoma would also continue to put Texas on the map coast-to-coast on the recruiting trail with some of the their top prospects in the next few classes. Texas is looking to close out the recruiting cycle now well for 2022 just a couple of months out from the Early Signing Period. And getting the 2023 class off the ground is a key component for Sark and his staff before next offseason.

While this win over TCU didn’t come at home for Sark and the Longhorns, it still could mean a lot for the 2022 and 2023 classes. It looks like there were some recruits that really liked what they saw from the Longhorns on the gridiron last weekend.

Here’s a look into four key recruits of the Longhorns that were impressed by the win over TCU last weekend.
