Texas Football: Arch Manning confirms visit for Oklahoma State game
There is an incredible list of visitors for new head coach Steve Sarkisian and the 2022 and 2023 Texas football recruiting classes for a huge bounce-back game for this team against the No. 12 ranked Oklahoma State Cowboys next weekend. No. 25 ranked Texas is set to host head coach Mike Gundy and the Pokes at home at DKR, with a huge visitor list building up.
As far as targets of the Longhorns 2023 class are concerned, the biggest visitor that Texas could possibly have is the elite five-star Isidore Newman (LA) quarterback Arch Manning. Texas has sat in a good position with Manning since the summer. Sark and the Longhorns are doing good work with Manning to sit among his top schools early in his recruitment.
It likely won’t be too long until we know how the top schools will shape up for Manning. And the goal for Texas is to be one of his top two or three schools around the turn of the calendar year. The way that Texas shows out on the field this fall will have a big impact on where Manning sees the Longhorns in his eyes entering next offseason.

A solid performance in a potential win over Oklahoma State next weekend could go a long way to helping the great results on the recruiting trail continue this fall.
This Oklahoma State game will be huge in terms of the implications for the Longhorns on the recruiting trail. That is especially true now that, per a Horns247 report this weekend (paid content), Manning is confirmed to be in attendance on the Forty Acres for the Oklahoma State game on Oct. 16.
Manning will be one of a large number of five-star 2022 and 2023 prospects that Texas could make a positive impression on next weekend if they can get a win over the Pokes. It would also make the pitch a lot smoother for first-year quarterbacks coach AJ Milwee to Manning if Texas beats Oklahoma State next weekend at home.

The Louisiana native Manning is the top ranked 2023 high school prospect in the nation. Landing a commitment from him would put as good of a cornerstone as possible for the Longhorns in the 2023 class.
