Texas Football: 3 commits Sarkisian could get during the bye week
Following a bad two weeks on the field for new head coach Steve Sarkisian and his squad, it will be interesting to see the impact it has for the 2022 and 2023 Texas football recruiting classes. Most indications point to Texas actually getting out of these bad meltdown losses to the two Oklahoma schools in consecutive weeks without too much detriment on the recruiting trail.
It looks like Sark and the current Longhorns staff will get off easier from collapses on the field with key targets of the 2022 and 2023 targets than former head coach Tom Herman did last year when he ran into hot seat issues. And that is good news since that gives Sark the patience he needs to get the right personnel in place to move this program in the right direction.
Texas put together a strong 2022 class up to this point. But the 2023 class needs to get off and running soon. Sark and the Longhorns are taking a patient approach with the 2023 class, and that could still work in the end. Stability is certainly a theme in the 2023 class.
Who Steve Sarkisian and Texas football might be able to land during the bye week?
Sark and the Longhorns are still seeking out the first commit in the 2023 class. And while that is likely to come by the time the Early Signing Period arrives, it’s hard to tell exactly when the first commit will arrive. But it would certainly be nice to see in the midst of this bye week.
There are also a handful of 2022 prospects that Texas is trending up with following the huge visit weekend for the Oklahoma State Cowboys game last weekend.
Here’s a look at three possible commits that Sark and the Longhorns could land in the 2022 and/or 2023 classes before the next game out of the bye week.
