Mississippi State

A potential landing spot that is definitely worth watching for the former blue-chip recruit and Yoakum, TX, native Moore is with head coach Mike Leach and the Mississippi State Bulldogs. Leach and this Mississippi State offense were rolling throughout much of this season. They have one of the more explosive passing offenses in the SEC.

That is right with the status quo for Leach too.

While Mississippi State’s offense slowed down a bit of late, averaging around 28 points per game, the pass offense is still very explosive. And that is something that should largely appeal to Moore.

Mississippi State is averaging just north of 375 passing yards per game and around three passing scores. There is also a need that the Bulldogs have to add more sizable wide receiver transfers too. The 6-foot-3 Moore could bring a lot of value to the table too for Mississippi State.

Leach and the Bulldogs pulled in wide receiver transfers in the past, including their leading receiver this fall in the former Cal Golden Bear Makai Polk.

Another point of appeal potentially between Mississippi State and Moore is the safeties coach in Starkville now, Jason Washington. The former Texas cornerbacks coach/recruiting coordinator was the primary recruiter after Moore coming out of Yoakum High School during the 2018 recruiting cycle.

Mississippi State is definitely a landing spot that would make sense for Moore. The Bulldogs offered him out of high school, and the passing offense in Starkville would be appealing for a wideout looking to have a bounce-back 2022 season like Moore.
