One of the most highly-anticipated seasons ever in the history of the Texas basketball program is now upon us. On the night of Nov. 9, new Texas head coach Chris Beard will get his team set to tip-off a very exciting and potentially prominent 2021-22 regular season slate at home at the Frank Erwin Center against the Houston Baptist Huskies.

While the regular season opener likely is going to be very exciting to watch, the schedule kicks into high gear pretty fast. Just four days after the regular season opener, Beard and the Longhorns will take on the No. 1 ranked Gonzaga Bulldogs on the road in Spokane, WA. That is one of a number of big-time matchups on the non-conference schedule for Texas this season.

Some other non-conference foes to watch for the Longhorns during the regular season are the Seton Hall Pirates, Stanford Cardinal, and Tennessee Volunteers.
