He’s got his skill position players to build around for the future

The duo of star sophomore running back Bijan Robinson and breakout freshman wide receiver Xavier Worthy are there for the Longhorns to establish a future foundation at the skill positions. It is clear that Bijan is one of the best running backs in the entire country.

And once the offense opens up around him again, the conversation should return that places Bijan among some of the best players in the entire country regardless of position.

Despite the injury in the loss to Iowa State last weekend, Bijan has rushed for more than 1,050 yards on the season (5.8 yards per carry), with 11 rushing touchdowns. He’s also registered 23 catches for 247 receiving yards and three touchdown catches.

Meanwhile, Worthy has registered just over 700 total yards from scrimmage this fall and eight touchdowns.

This duo of Bijan and Worthy is truly something that Sark can use to build his offensive philosophy around on the Forty Acres. These two can also serve as somewhat of a selling point for Sark and the Longhorns to future players in this program as to what the offense could be in the very near future.

It didn’t take long at all for someone like Worthy to go from a Michigan Wolverines commit to flip to Texas and become an impact player right away. Bijan also had a true breakout campaign statistically so far this season.

The skill positions will be what drives this offense for Texas in future years, hopefully once the offensive line and quarterback position gets settled.
