The sixth loss in a row for new head coach Steve Sarkisian and the Texas football program continues to plunge this team into a deeper hole. Following a 31-23 loss on the road in Morgantown over the weekend at the hands of head coach Neal Brown and the West Virginia Mountaineers, Texas now holds a record of 4-7 (2-6 Big 12).

Now that Sark and the Longhorns are bowl ineligible in the midst of a pretty disastrous 2021 season, the focus has to turn to the looming 2022 offseason. Granted, the offseason will actually hit much earlier for the Longhorns this year than around the turn of the calendar year.

Texas’ season looks to wrap up following the regular season finale which comes at home at DKR this weekend against head coach Chris Klieman and the improved Kansas State Wildcats on Nov. 26. On the traditional (at least in recent years) Black Friday game at Darrell K. Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium, there’s not much on the line to play for the Longhorns at this point.

The conversation is now really turning to how Sark and the Longhorns are going to plan out the offseason ahead. One of the major looming storylines is bound to be the activity ahead for Texas in the NCAA Transfer Portal. There are already a few noteworthy Longhorns players in the transfer portal, with more likely to come in the not-too-distant future.

There are just some players on this roster that don’t look like a great fit with where Sark is trying to take this Longhorns program. Here’s a look at three Longhorns players that clearly aren’t the right fit with Sark moving forward.
