How to watch Texas vs. Kansas State: TV, live stream, game time, pick
At this point of the season for new head coach Steve Sarkisian and the Texas football program, it feels like the finale doesn’t mean much. Texas is set to take on head coach Chris Klieman and the improved Kansas State Wildcats at home at Darrell K. Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium on the morning of Black Friday (Nov. 26).
Sark and the Longhorns carry a whopping six-game losing streak into this meeting with Kansas State. Their last game resulted in a road loss in Morgantown back on Nov. 20 at the hands of head coach Neal Brown and the West Virginia Mountaineers. Texas lost to West Virginia on Nov. 20 by the final score of 31-23.
This gives Texas a record of 4-7 (2-6 Big 12) coming into this game.
Meanwhile, Kansas State comes into this matchup against Texas sporting a record of 7-4 (4-4 Big 12) after a 20-10 loss against the Baylor Bears last weekend. Kansas State’s loss to Baylor on Nov. 20 eliminated them from contention to land a spot in the Big 12 Championship Game this year.
But a win over the Longhorns would still mean that the Wildcats had a largely successful season under Klieman.
While I really do not know how, the Longhorns are a field goal favorite over Kansas State in the spread just over 12 hours ahead of kick-off. And the ESPN matchup predictor (based on the Football Power Index) gives Texas around a whopping 69 percent chance to beat Kansas State on Nov. 26.

For the second straight week, Texas gets the morning kickoff slate. And this is the traditional Black Friday slate that the Longhorns are in. Texas will kick-off against Kansas State on Nov. 26 at 11 a.m. CT live in front of a national television audience on Fox.
Injured Texas football players
The injury report has grown to be pretty long for Sark and the Longhorns heading into the regular season finale. Texas is still missing the likes of star sophomore running back Bijan Robinson and senior cornerback Josh Thompson for the rest of the season.
Bijan missing this meeting with Kansas State means that the reigns in the backfield will mainly be handed over to junior running back Roschon Johnson and redshirt sophomore Keilan Robinson.
But Bijan is not the only key offensive player out for the Longhorns in the regular season finale. Texas could be set to miss sophomore quarterback Hudson Card in this game, who suffered a lower-body injury in last weekend’s loss to West Virginia on the road.

LB Luke Brockermeyer sustained a knee injury in Tuesday’s practice and is out.
DE Jacoby Jones will return this week after missing the last five games with a foot injury.
QB Hudson Card (ankle) and LB DeMarvion Overshown (foot) will both be game day decisions.
Card missing the regular season finale would mean that the starting reigns at quarterback will be handed to redshirt junior Casey Thompson. These two splits snaps for Sark and the Longhorns throughout the month of November.
But Card and senior linebacker DeMarvion Overshown are set to be game-time decisions for Texas on Black Friday.
The last major injury updates of note do round out the defensive front for the Longhorns. Texas is set to get senior defensive end/edge rusher, Jacoby Jones, back against Kansas State. Jones hasn’t played a snap for the Longhorns since the loss in the Red River Rivalry game last month to the Oklahoma Sooners.
Texas is also set to miss junior linebacker Luke Brockermeyer, who got injured in the week of practice leading up to this game. This means that Brockermeyer will likely miss the final game of the season where he was first really named a starter.
Predicting Texas football vs. Kansas State
It almost seems unrealistic to believe that the Longhorns team riding a six-game losing streak could top a potential eight or nine-win team in Kansas State to round out the regular season. But what is causing this line to move so far in favor of Texas this week with super-senior quarterback Skylar Thompson potentially out due to injury.

If Thompson is out for Kansas State, that could at least give Texas a shot to get to 5-7 on the season. A good game for Casey could keep Texas in the running here to finally snap the losing skid. But I just don’t see it happening given the tragic season for Texas and all of the injuries of late.
