Arkansas

The Arkansas Razorbacks are in a much different spot right now compared with NC State in terms of potential needs at the linebacker position next year. NC State could return all of their core linebackers from the two-deep in 2022. Meanwhile, Arkansas might be losing the bulk of their key linebackers from the two-deep heading into next offseason.

Two of Arkansas’ three starting linebackers throughout much of the year are seniors. And one of the rotational linebackers, Hayden Henry, that got a good bulk of the snaps for a backup is also a super-senior.

This puts head coach Sam Pittman and defensive coordinator Barry Odom in a bind in terms of figuring out what to do for the Hogs at the linebacker position next offseason. Arkansas had some quality linebacker play this fall, and that would be a key piece to assembling a quality defense that can live up to the hype in 2022.

Arkansas was pursuing Adeoye heavily during his recruitment coming out of IMG Academy during the 2018 cycle. And some of the coaches that were on staff at the time of his recruitment are still present at Arkansas. That includes his primary recruiter at the time, and longtime Arkansas running backs coach Reggie Mitchell.

Arkansas definitely looks like a very viable landing spot for Adeoye out of the transfer portal heading into next offseason. He would still be close to home, as he could be with a program like the Sooners. And the fit with the Arkansas defense could get Adeoye set for some immediate success at his next landing spot.
