Malik Agbo, OT

With all of the movement and discussion surrounding the recruitments of Campbell and Banks of late, it’s easy for Longhorn fans to overlook the touted four-star Todd Beamer (WA) offensive tackle Malik Agbo. But landing a commitment from Agbo could still be paramount for the Longhorns 2022 class.

Granted, if the Longhorns are able to close in on Campbell after landing Banks this weekend, it’s hard to fault any of the other results that Sark and his staff have for the 2022 class.

Landing Agbo would get the Longhorns one step closer to bringing in the five offensive line commits they’re looking for, though, in the 2022 class. And with Agbo expecting to announce his decision ahead, or during, the Early Signing Period, this could be another big offensive line addition for Texas in a span of just a few days.

The four most recent expert 247Sports Crystal Ball Predictions have Agbo’s commitment trending to the Longhorns. And the three most recent analyst and publisher predictions in the Rivals FutureCast went in Texas’ favor for Agbo.

The writing was on the wall for the last couple of weeks that Flood and the Longhorns were emerging as a frontrunner for Agbo. And it doesn’t look like landing a commitment from Banks will shift that narrative.

If Texas manages to land both Agbo and Campbell in the days and weeks ahead, it would bring the number of blue-chip offensive linemen in the 2022 class up to four. Texas also holds a commitment from four-star Frisco interior offensive lineman Cole Hutson at this point.

Watch out for Oklahoma and the Auburn Tigers to be two schools that still figure into the pursuit of Agbo’s commitment ahead of his Dec. 15 decision.
