Evan Stewart, WR

The last prospect up on this list that is clearly a top-tier target of the Longhorns 2022 class still is the elite five-star Frisco-Liberty wide receiver and Texas A&M Aggies commit Evan Stewart. I will note, though, that while Texas is going to push hard with Stewart through the time when his signed letter of intent officially goes through, this will be a tough one to flip.

Around 48 hours ago, most Texas fans likely felt more confident regarding the ability of Sark and his staff to flip the commitment of Stewart from Texas A&M. Landing a commitment from the former Southlake Carroll High School product Ewers out of the transfer portal to close out the weekend seemingly was something that would generate more momentum for Texas with Stewart.

But it didn’t really do anything of the sort coming out of the weekend. If I had to give a percentage chance for the odds that Texas can actually flip the commitment of Stewart from Texas A&M on the first signing day, I would put it at 5-10 percent.

It makes sense that the Longhorns are going to see this one through the finish line. If there is any chance in the world to get this commitment, it is worth mentioning. And that’s why I included it on the list. Also, a ton of Texas fans are still wondering about the status of Stewart heading into the first signing day. This is still one to keep an eye on until his NLI comes in officially.
