Predicting Texas’ next 2022 commit after 4-Star OL Neto Umeozulu
A big week for head coach Steve Sarkisian and the 2022 Texas football recruiting class is about to come to a head on Dec. 15. Texas is now less than 24 hours from the start of the Early Signing Period, which is sure to deliver more fireworks for this 2022 class. Texas has landed commitments from three key offensive linemen in the last 72 hours roughly.
The most recent addition to the Longhorns 2022 class came late in the night of Dec. 13. Texas landed a commitment from the touted four-star Allen offensive lineman Neto Umeozulu on Dec. 13 after he announced on his Twitter timeline.

Umeozulu joins a group that also includes the elite five-star Summer Creek offensive tackle Kelvin Banks and three-star Duncanville offensive tackle Cameron Williams among those to commit to the Longhorns 2022 class since the start of the weekend. It was back on Dec. 11 that Texas originally landed a commitment from Banks.
And then, Texas flipped the commitment of another former Oregon Ducks pledge in Williams.
This type of haul along the offensive line is impressive for the Longhorns. Texas needed help in the trenches more so than just about any other position group. And more could be ahead of the Longhorns along the offensive line in the 2022 class.
Umeozulu was a huge addition for the Longhorns to get their fifth offensive linemen in the 2022 class and the 23rd commitment overall. Texas is now looking like they could even haul in a top-five ranked 2022 class in the nation when it’s all said and done.
Here’s a look into who the next commitment could be in the Longhorns 2022 class after landing Umeozulu to start off the week.
