We are now roughly eight hours away from the start of the Early Signing Period in terms of relevant announcements for top targets of the 2022 Texas football recruiting class. The first early signing day essentially is set to take place on Dec. 15. And Texas has a number of key targets of the 2022 class remaining that are set to announce their decisions on Dec. 15.

The announcements will start pretty early for Texas. Longhorns fans will have to be up as early as 7 p.m. CT on the first signing day this week if you want to catch every single one of these announcements. But this will be an eventful day no matter what.

Texas is riding a good wave of momentum on the recruiting trail right now. Coming out of the weekend, the Longhorns are looking really good along the offensive line. Texas landed commitments from the likes of five-star Summer Creek offensive tackle Kelvin Banks, four-star Allen OL Neto Umeozulu, and three-star Duncanville offensive tackle Cameron Williams, since the start of last weekend.

Who Texas football can get on the first signing day?

That’s not to mention the fact that Texas landed a commitment out of the NCAA Transfer Portal from the former Ohio State Buckeyes freshman quarterback Quinn Ewers coming out of the weekend. That was maybe the most enormous news from the weekend, granted it was all good to hear.

So what lies ahead for the Longhorns on the first signing day? I would say pretty confidently that the Longhorns have a floor of hauling in at least one or two more commits/signees in the 2022 class on Dec. 15.

Here’s a look at a prediction of each of the commits for the Longhorns 2022 class on the first signing day.
