Brennan Marion, Pitt wide receivers coach

Another initial name that should come to mind when considering this coaching search for the Longhorns to replace Coleman as the wide receivers coach is the current Pitt Panthers wide receivers coach Brennan Marion. This is a wide receivers coach that is definitely one of the hotter names at this spot around the college football landscape right now.

The way that Pitt was able to develop the offense, specifically in the passing game, has caught the attention of multiple Power Five programs around the country. And it looks like Texas could be one of them.

It is worth noting that a report from Anwar Richardson of Orangebloods on Twitter on Dec. 19 noted that Marion is a potential replacement to watch for Coleman on the Forty Acres.

I would definitely keep an eye out for any developments in the days and weeks ahead to fill this opening on the Longhorns staff with Marion. Other schools are likely already vying for his services, so Texas might have to move fast here.

Marion has multiple offensive innovations under his belt at lower levels of coaching, including with the Go-Go offense when he was the offensive coordinator with the William & Mary Tribe back in 2019.

Other than that, Marion was the wide receivers coach with the Hawaii Rainbow Warriors in 2020, and was an offensive assistant with the Arizona State Sun Devils back in 2015, among a couple of other coaching jobs.
