Coming out of this weekend, there will be a lot of new prospects to watch on the Texas football recruiting radar for the 2023 and 2024 classes. Texas hosted its “Junior Elite Day” this weekend with a few dozen prospects that could be major targets of the 2023 and 2024 classes on campus. Some of those targets for Texas also received offers during the weekend.

This is something that is to be expected from second-year head coach Steve Sarkisian and his staff. If the Longhorns didn’t send out that many offers to their key targets of the 2023 and 2024 classes during this type of weekend, that would be a weird occurrence.

Knowing that Sark and the Longhorns staff currently hold just one commitment in the 2023 class, it was important to get a clearer picture of what the big board looks like for this cycle. And Junior Day is the type of event that can help clear up who some of the top targets are at each position group for the Longhorns’ 2023 and 2024 classes.

Texas has a large group of rising in-state talents to figure out for the 2023 recruiting cycle too. That was evident by the fact that the Longhorns were looking to send out so many offers during this Junior Day weekend.

Seeing which offers were sent out this weekend could be something to watch moving forward. But seeing which 2023 prospects take visits during the spring and summer will also help to clear up the Longhorns’ focus for this cycle.

With this in mind, here’s a look at three of the most important offers sent out to targets of the Longhorns 2023 class during Junior Day weekend.
