The finishing touch came to second-year head coach Steve Sarkisian, offensive line coach/offensive coordinator Kyle Flood, and the 2022 Texas football recruiting class on the afternoon of Feb. 2 in the form of the elite five-star Bowie interior offensive lineman Devon Campbell. Texas was able to seal the deal with Campbell on National Signing Day 2022 to get a nationally prominent class signed and in the books.

Sark, Flood, and the Longhorns really filled out this 2022 signing class with blue-chip offensive linemen since the first signing period. In the days leading up to the Early Signing Period back in December, the commitments from blue-chip offensive linemen really started to roll in for the Longhorns.

Who Texas football can land next for the 2023 or 2024 recruiting classes after getting 5-Star 2022 OL Devon Campbell?

Texas was able to sign two five-star prospects in the 2022 class, both of which play along the offensive line. Those two are Campbell and five-star Summer Creek offensive tackle Kelvin Banks.

With the Longhorns officially wrapping up the 2022 recruiting class on Feb. 2, the attention will now shift to the 2023 and 2024 cycles. Texas does have one commitment currently in the 2023 and 2024 classes both.

Texas has a lot of potential for the next two recruiting cycles. But that will start with an effective offseason for this coaching staff on the recruiting trail. More importantly, Texas needs to show progress on the field next fall.

For now, though, Texas can be excited about what they’ve reeled in with the 2022 signing class. And that focus can now turn to what lies ahead next. Here’s a look into who the next commit in the Longhorns 2023 or 2024 class could be after Campbell rounded out the 2022 cycle.
