On Feb. 2, second-year head coach Steve Sarkisian and his staff rounded out the 2022 Texas football recruiting class with a bang. Texas reeled in a commitment from their top five-star target on National Signing Day by landing a pledge from the elite Bowie interior offensive lineman Devon Campbell on the afternoon of Feb. 2.

Sark, offensive line coach/offensive coordinator Kyle Flood and the Longhorns have to be proud of what they were able to get done in the 2022 class when it was all said and done. There were a ton of question marks for the Longhorns 2022 class in the days leading up to the Early Signing Period back in December.

But Texas did well to address at least some needs in the trenches on both sides of the ball and even in the secondary since the first signing period. The offensive and defensive lines are the highlights of the Longhorns 2022 signing class without a doubt.

Addition of 5-Star OL Devon Campbell puts a nice finishing touch on the 2022 Texas football recruiting class

This Longhorns 2022 signing class wound up finding national prominence when it was all said and done for this recruiting cycle. According to the 247Sports Team Composite Rankings, the 2022 Texas recruiting class ranks at No. 5 in the nation and in the top spot in the Big 12 ahead of the Oklahoma Sooners.

The pure amount of talent that the Longhorns signed in this 2022 class should be able to yield Sark and his staff some immediate contributors on each side of the ball. With that in mind, here’s a look into four signees in the Longhorns 2022 class that could start right away in 2022.
