Now that the 2022 Texas football recruiting class is in the rearview mirror for second-year head coach Steve Sarkisian and his staff, it looks like the 2023 and 2024 classes could soon catch some big waves of momentum on the trail. Texas wrapped up the 2022 class with a bang earlier this week by landing a commitment from the elite five-star Bowie interior offensive lineman Devon Campbell on National Signing Day.

It already looks like there are some pieces in place for Sark and the Longhorns staff to get things moving along in the 2023 and 2024 classes as spring ball draws closer. There will be a few weekends in the next couple of months that bring some important visitors to campus. And there were already some key visitors on campus since the start of winter workouts.

Texas hosted its Junior Elite Day a couple of weeks ago, where they hosted multiple blue-chip targets of the 2023 and 2024 classes. Key events on the recruiting calendar such as that Junior Day weekend will be crucial for Texas to really get things rolling in their favor in the weeks and months ahead.

But the one recruiting class that really looks to catch a nice wave of momentum in the near future on the trail is 2024. Texas already has one commitment in the 2024 class in four-star Aledo cornerback Jaden Allen. And there could soon be another one or two commitments on the way for the Longhorns 2024 class.

Here’s a look into three prospects to watch that could be the next to commit to the Longhorns 2024 class in February.
