With National Signing Day 2022 putting a close to this past recruiting cycle, the focus now officially shifts to the 2023 Texas football recruiting class for second-year head coach Steve Sarkisian and his staff in the month of February. Texas is looking to find a spark on the recruiting trail this offseason in order to find the path forward for their 2023 class.

At the moment, the lone commit in the Longhorns 2023 class is the touted four-star Arlington-Seguin defensive back Jamel Johnson. There are no other scheduled commitments set for key 2023 Texas targets as of this moment either.
