Texas Basketball vs. Baylor: Betting odds, TV, stream, pick
Late in the morning of Feb. 12, No. 20 ranked Texas basketball and new head coach Chris Beard will be set to battle head coach Scott Drew and the No. 10 ranked Baylor Bears on the road in Waco. In one of the most important games of the regular season, Texas can really prove a point on the court by potentially upsetting the reigning National Champion Baylor.
It obviously won’t come easy for the Longhorns on the hardwood on Feb. 12, though. Texas will be gearing up to face a motivated Baylor team that really has the capability to turn it on down the stretch this season.
Texas is coming into this game off a high from their upset win at home at the Frank Erwin Center back on Feb. 8 over the Kansas Jayhawks. Beard and the Longhorns have won two games in a row and five of their last six, giving them a record of 18-6 (7-4 Big 12) heading into this key meeting with the Bears.
Meanwhile, Baylor comes into this game sporting a record of 20-4 (8-3 Big 12) following their 15-point road win over the Kansas State Wildcats back on Feb. 9. Baylor has lost two of their last four games, though. Those two losses came at the hands of the Jayhawks and Alabama Crimson Tide.
Here’s a look into the betting odds, TV/streaming information, and game prediction as Texas hits the road to face Baylor at the Ferrell Center in Waco on Feb. 12, with tip-off time set for 11 a.m. CT.

Texas basketball vs. Baylor prediction
This will really be a massive contest for two Longhorns players individually. Texas will see the likes of senior guard Courtney Ramey and senior forward Timmy Allen put to the test in this game. Others such as redshirt senior shooting guard/wing Andrew Jones, senior guard Marcus Carr, and senior forward Christian Bishop, among a few others, put to the test.
But it feels like Ramey and Allen will be two real x-factors for Beard and the Longhorns against Baylor. Allen was solid for the Longhorns in their Feb. 8 upset win over Kansas with his best offensive night of the season to date. He’ll have a serious challenge on his hands to contend with the forward depth that the Bears bring to the table.
Meanwhile, Ramey will be looking to likely cap his career facing the Bears in Waco on a high note.
This is a vulnerable Baylor team that the likes of Allen, Ramey, and the Longhorns can take advantage of this weekend. But beating Baylor on the road in Waco is never going to be an easy feat by any means.
If Texas can get off to a strong start in this one, then their stifling defense could be enough to keep them in this the entire way. I don’t think this is one where the Longhorns are going to get blown out. But it’s also hard to ignore the Longhorns’ struggles against ranked competition on the road so far this season.
