It’s exciting to see what all of the new additions for second-year head coach Steve Sarkisian and the Texas football program are doing right away for this team in workouts. And it’s not only the new additions in terms of players that are exciting for Texas but also the new additions to the coaching staff that is building the hype for the 2022 season.

Sark and the Longhorns have a few new additions to the coaching staff that came along in the last two months. That namely includes the trio of new wide receivers coach/passing game coordinator Brennan Marion, running backs coach Tashard Choice, and special assistant to the head coach Gary Patterson.

Texas looks to have injected a lot more energy and confidence into the coaching staff among the position coaches with the additions of Marion and Choice. And adding Patterson to the off-field coaching staff is a move that has an impact that speaks for itself.

Moreover, it is also exciting to see the new additions for the Longhorns by way of the recruiting trail and the NCAA Transfer Portal so far this offseason. More additions could be on the way out of the transfer portal this offseason. But most of the new signees for the Longhorns are already either signed down or enrolled at this point.

Any new additions to the roster for the Longhorns that are actually on campus by now should be participating in winter workouts. And there are a few cases of players that are really making an impression right away.
