There isn’t a single new addition to the program for the Longhorns of late in winter workouts that is generating more of a buzz than the former Wyoming Cowboys breakout redshirt freshman wide receiver Isaiah Neyor. Texas is getting a true immediate impact out of the transfer portal in 2022 in the potent 6-foot-4 and 210-pound Neyor.

What is causing so much hype to build around Neyor is the fact that we’re hearing about his impact so soon after he first arrived on campus just a couple of weeks ago. It was not all that long ago that Neyor was committed to the Tennessee Volunteers and head coach Josh Heupel out of the portal.

Sark and Marion did a really nice job of getting Neyor to flip his commitment out of the portal from Tennessee to Texas. They are going to be able to address a huge need to add a talented outside receiver that can start right away.

From what we’ve seen thus far from Neyor in winter workouts, he’s really putting on a clinic. He’s showing some insane speed and overall physical tools in workouts thus far. It just goes to show why Sark and the Longhorns staff placed so much priority on flipping his commitment out of the portal.

Texas is looking to have quite the impressive big three starting at wide receiver in 2022 between the likes of Neyor, sophomore star Xavier Worthy, and the speedy and elusive redshirt junior Jordan Whittington. Neyor really looks to be the missing piece the Longhorns needed to truly round out an elite receiving corps in 2022.
