As one of the most highly anticipated new additions for second-year head coach Steve Sarkisian and the Texas football program this year, the former Wyoming Cowboys breakout redshirt freshman wide receiver Isaiah Neyor is surely a player to watch. Neyor is one of the four additions for Texas out of the NCAA Transfer Portal so far this offseason.

But it looks like Sark and the Longhorns could see the likes of Neyor and the former Ohio State Buckeyes freshman quarterback and elite five-star recruit Quinn Ewers make the biggest impact of any new transfer additions right away this fall. At the moment, though, there is a ton of hype surrounding what Neyor can do for the Texas offense right away.

In winter workouts, it looks like Neyor is generating more hype than just about anyone else playing at the skill positions. That is the case at least among the new additions to the program so far this offseason.

As winter workouts continue to roll on this offseason, new wide receivers coach/passing game coordinator Brennan Marion is pretty active in posting some of the highlights of the drills on social media. In an Instagram story of his this week, he posted some clips of Neyor getting to work with some really quick footwork in wideout drills.

It was also impressive to see just how quick Neyor is for a wideout that stands around 6-foot-4 and 210 pounds.

From the looks of it, Neyor is getting down to work and showing what he can really do right away in winter workouts. The fact that he’s showing this type of footspeed compared to other incredibly speedy and elusive wideouts such as sophomore-to-be Xavier Worthy and redshirt junior Jordan Whittington is a testament to just how good he really is.

In all likelihood, we will see Neyor rounding out an extremely potent trio of projected starting wideouts along with Whittington and Worthy. Neyor should occupy the outside receiver slot for Sark and the Longhorns this fall.

Neyor is a special receiver that really broke out for Wyoming last season. He registered 44 catches for 878 receiving yards and a dozen touchdown catches. Neyor truly was one of the most productive wideouts in the Mountain West last season.
