3 best transfer landing spots for former Texas P Ryan Bujcevski
Colorado
This is yet another situation where a potential landing spot for Bujcevski could open up since there is a key punter leaving either for the NFL Draft or the transfer portal. The Colorado Buffaloes in the PAC-12 North could be a really nice potential transfer destination for Bujcevski after they lost their starting punter to the transfer portal earlier this offseason.
Colorado lost a former All-PAC-12 Honorable Mention punter to the transfer portal earlier this offseason with junior Josh Watts leaving the program.
Now, the difference between the situation that Colorado could present for Bujcevski and somewhere like San Diego State or UMass is the fact that there is still what appears to be a quality punter left on the roster. But Colorado’s freshman punter Noah Hubbard is still very inexperienced as he hasn’t taken a single special teams snap at the collegiate level.
Trusting Hubbard to take over the punting duties right away after the Buffs had such reliable punting production from Watts last season could be a volatile proposition for their special teams unit. This is where the idea of nabbing a commitment from Bujcevski out of the portal could make sense for all sides.
What this situation could theoretically present for Bujcevski in an optimistic scenario is one where he comes in and proves that he can be a punter in the NFL after one year in Boulder. Bujcevski was consistently improving his punting production during his three years with Texas. He could stay with another Power Five program that looks to need a punter if he did land with Colorado this offseason.
