5-Star Arch Manning confirmed to be visiting Texas in March
The next step in the process of second-year head coach Steve Sarkisian and the 2023 Texas football recruiting class pursuing their top target by far on the trail is about to take place heading into the spring. The elite five-star Isidore Newman quarterback Arch Manning will continue to be the talk of the town on the Forty Acres as far as news on the recruiting trail is concerned.
Manning is clearly the top priority for Sark and the Longhorns staff among targets of the 2023 class. And it now looks like there will be a notable event on the recruiting timeline for Manning and the Longhorns coming around this spring.
It was anticipated that Sark and the Longhorns staff would be getting Manning on the books for a visit at some point during spring ball. And that appears to now be confirmed from a few reports at this point in time.
According to a report from Orangebloods on Feb. 27 (paid content), Texas is now essentially confirmed to have Manning on campus for a visit next month. That visit for Manning to Texas now reportedly looks to be for March 24.

Sark and quarterbacks coach AJ Milwee are doing a great job on the recruiting trail sticking around among the top schools in the race to land a commitment from Manning. Most of the other schools involved in the Manning sweepstakes right now have some type of clear advantage on the trail. That isn’t really the case with Texas.
At this point of his recruitment, it looks like the top schools in the mix for Manning are the Ole Miss Rebels, LSU Tigers, Georgia Bulldogs, Alabama Crimson Tide, and Texas.
Georgia and Alabama are clearly in the mix since they are some of the top programs in the entire country and have an established future in the SEC as top title contenders. Meanwhile, LSU and Ole Miss hold geographic relevance and have family connections with Manning’s camp.
And while Texas isn’t all that far from Manning’s home city of New Orleans, LA, it also is further than the likes of LSU and Ole Miss. There also isn’t really anyone in the Manning camp in any sort of high-profile picture that attended Texas.
This just goes to show how much work Sark and the Longhorns staff are putting in on the recruiting trail to stick around among the top schools for Manning. And this visit next month only serves as an opportunity to help the Longhorns continue making progress with the elite signal-caller.
Manning is the only quarterback that remains uncommitted for this cycle that holds an offer from the Longhorns 2023 class at the moment. It’s crystal clear that Sark and this staff are essentially putting all of their eggs in one basket at the quarterback position with Manning.
