Texas Basketball vs. Baylor: Betting odds, TV, stream, pick
In the home finale, and the final game for the Texas basketball program at the Frank Erwin Center in Austin, first-year head coach Chris Beard is set to see his squad take on head coach Scott Drew and the No. 10 ranked Baylor Bears. On the night of Feb. 28, Texas will take on the defending National Champion in what will also be the second to last game of the regular season slate.
Beard and the Longhorns are coming off a very close one-point win over head coach Bob Huggins and the struggling West Virginia Mountaineers on the road at WVU Coliseum on Feb. 26. That 82-81 win over West Virginia helped the Longhorns build their winning streak to two games. Texas comes into this meeting with Baylor at home with a record of 21-8 (10-6 Big 12).
Meanwhile, Baylor is set to come into this game sporting a record of 24-5 (12-4 Big 12) following their impressive double-digit win at home at the Ferrell Center over head coach Bill Self and the No. 7 Kansas Jayhawks on Feb. 26. Baylor rides a three-game winning streak heading into this Feb. 28 matchup against the Longhorns.

Texas basketball vs. Baylor prediction
Texas did have an offensive explosion from some key players in their starting unit in their win over West Virginia this weekend. But it did come at the expense of really any sort of defensive prowess for Beard and the Longhorns against a struggling Mountaineers squad.
Beard and the Longhorns will be looking to improve their fortunes on defense against a Baylor squad that is playing really well of late. It will largely be up to the duo of senior guard Marcus Carr and senior forward Timmy Allen to shoulder the load for Texas in this one.
Carr had a solid outing in Texas’ Feb. 26 win over West Virginia. In fact, he’s had two solid games in a row for the Longhorns dating back to their win over the TCU Horned Frogs back on Feb. 23. In the last two games, Carr put up 34 points on 12-of-20 shooting from the field.
It will also be important for Allen to continue his hot streak if Texas wants to pull off the upset of the Bears here. Allen had one of the best games of his career in the win over West Virginia. In that game, he put up his third double-double of the season with 26 points, 10 rebounds, three assists, one steal, and two blocks.
A solid outing from the duo of Allen and Carr, and the Longhorns should be in a good position to pull off the upset of Baylor on Feb. 28. There is a lot on the line for Texas as they have a difficult road in their final couple of games which come against Baylor and Kansas next week.
