Texas’ Bijan Robinson remains the Heisman favorite at RB
Now less than one month away from the start of spring ball for second-year head coach Steve Sarkisian and the Texas football program, we will soon see some of the top stars for this team in 2022 get some sort of reps and practice time. That includes the likes of new freshman quarterback Quinn Ewers, star junior running back Bijan Robinson, and breakthrough stud sophomore wide receiver Xavier Worthy.
Sark and the Longhorns staff have a very potent offense ahead of the 2022 season. Brewing on the Forty Acres during the spring could be one of the most explosive and versatile offenses in the entire country. But this team has to start gelling as soon as the start of spring drills.
Texas has a lot on the line this fall. And getting things right for a good run in the Big 12 in 2022 starts with getting this team working well together in spring and fall camp. With a lot of youth on the team in 2022, getting the team chemistry right during the offseason is crucial.
But Texas will also be relying on the likes of Bijan and Worthy to shoulder the load this fall. Bijan is definitely going to have a lot of pressure on his shoulders to spark this offense this coming season. He’s got the capability to be one of the best players not just at the running back position, but of any position group in the country.
Updated Heisman odds have Texas football star Bijan Robinson as the top RB
The proof is in the pudding there with the fact that Bijan is still considered to be one of the early Heisman favorites for the 2022 season.
The latest Heisman odds do have Bijan with the fourth-best chances to take home the honors this year. Bijan also has the best odds to win the Heisman of any running back in the country. Ohio State’s TreVeyon Henderson has the second-best odds among running backs.
There are three players that ring in with better Heisman odds than Bijan, and they’re all quarterbacks. Those three quarterbacks that sit above Bijan in the Heisman odds are Ohio State’s CJ Stroud, USC’s Caleb Williams, and Alabama’s Bryce Young.
Bijan was having a special season for the Longhorns last year prior to an injury against the Kansas Jayhawks that ended his run prematurely. He registered more than 1,400 total yards from scrimmage and 15 total touchdowns in 10 games played last season.
