During one of the most crucial stretches of the recruiting calendar for second-year head coach Steve Sarkisian and the Texas football program in 2022, spring visits will be a really important marker to set the tone for the rest of the offseason. Texas is hosting a few dozen key targets of the 2023 and 2024 recruiting classes during the months of March and April alone.

It will be up to Sark and the Longhorns staff to be able to make the right impression on these visiting prospects that are big-time targets of the 2023 and 2024 classes to generate some momentum that lasts into the summer.

With Texas going through a pretty quiet period on the recruiting trail in the last few months, especially for the 2023 class, the spring will be a crucial time. That is especially the case considering how many five-star prospects the Longhorns are set to host in the next couple of months.

By far the most notable target of the Longhorns 2023 class that is set to visit later this month is the elite five-star Isidore Newman quarterback Arch Manning. As the clear-cut top target of the Longhorns for really any recruiting class, Manning is going to be the talk of the town as the time for his visit draws closer.

Manning is set to visit Texas on the weekend of March 24, just after the start of spring camp for Sark and the Longhorns. That is set to be a big visit weekend in general for the Longhorns. But it’s made much bigger by the fact that Manning will be on campus.

With that in mind, here’s a look into three March visitors that can help the Longhorns eventually land a commitment from Manning.
