A big month lies ahead on the trail for second-year head coach Steve Sarkisian and his staff in terms of the implications for the 2023 Texas football recruiting class. Texas is set to host a number of key visitors on campus in late March and early April. That should also spill over into the mid-to-late spring and during the spring football game on April 23.

What is also important about the spring for Sark and the Longhorns staff is the fact that this could break the quiet period on the recruiting trail for the 2023 class. At the moment, Texas holds just one commitment in their 2023 class with the touted four-star Arlington-Seguin defensive back Jamel Johnson.

With Johnson as the lone commit currently in the Longhorns 2023 class, it is likely that more help will be on the way soon. But Texas will have to continue to put in the work to develop the relationships they’ve built on the recruiting trail since last fall.

Which blue-chip recruits is Texas football in good shape with in March?

Momentum should be on Texas’ side during the spring, which is why this will be such a crucial visit season in the midst of camp on the Forty Acres. Texas has a few dozen key prospects set to visit Austin in the next few weeks. And some have already made their way to the Forty Acres in the last week or so.

Moreover, among the targets of the Longhorns 2023 class that already have a strong relationship built with this coaching staff, which could be committing to Texas before too long?

Here’s a look into three blue-chip 2023 recruits that the Longhorns are trending to land in March.
