To round out the altered schedule of this three-game weekend series against the South Carolina Gamecocks, No. 1 ranked Texas baseball will be looking to pull off the sweep in an orderly fashion on the afternoon of March 13. Texas knocked off South Carolina in the first meeting between these two teams on March 12.

Head coach David Pierce and the Longhorns downed the Gamecocks in the first game of this weekend series by the final score of 9-5 behind three home runs from the duo of Trey Faltine and Ivan Melendez.

As the Longhorns try to pull off this weekend series sweep to stay undefeated against SEC competition this season, they’ll do so behind the arm of Tristan Stevens in the first game of this March 13 doubleheader.
