Texas football is now officially one week away from the start of spring ball. Second-year head coach Steve Sarkisian is set to begin the first day of spring practice on March 22. And the spring football game is set for April 23.

Spring camp will be the first look for Sark and the Longhorns staff for some of the new additions to this team since the start of their offseason a few months back, at least in full practice reps. Texas did have some looks at the new additions to the program in the latter portion of winter workouts.

But spring drills really is the first opportunity for new players to rise to the occasion and prove their deserve a prominent spot in the two-deep depth chart.

It will be important to see both the new additions to the program by way of the 2022 signing class and the NCAA Transfer Portal. Texas signed a very talented 2022 recruiting class that ranked among the top five in the country.

Sark and his staff were also able to get four key additions to this team by way of the transfer portal so far this offseason. And it looks like more could be on the way in the near future.

All four of the commitments the Longhorns landed out of the portal so far this offseason are enrolled on campus and ready to participate in spring ball.

With that in mind, here’s a look into the two transfer additions for the Longhorns that are really ready to shine in spring camp.
