Among the Longhorns players expected to break out this fall, the former Wyoming Cowboys stud redshirt freshman wide receiver Isaiah Neyor should be one of the names that stick out. Neyor might actually wind up being the most impactful and productive addition for Texas out of the NCAA Transfer Portal right away during the 2022 season.

Yet, the final name on this list will hopefully turn out to be the most impactful transfer addition overall from this offseason when it’s all said and done for the coming season.

However, Neyor has already put his gifted physical tools and skill set on display since winter workouts. The 6-foot-4 and 215-pound outside receiver looks the part. And it sounds like he’s already impressing the coaching staff, namely Sark and new wide receivers coach/passing game coordinator Brennan Marion.

Neyor reportedly had two plays in drills where he caught 50/50 balls over the opposing defensive back. And it didn’t look like he had any drops in drills from the first spring practice this week either.

It seems like it’s the physical tools and work that Neyor is putting on display right away are factors that are really blowing away this coaching staff. The word coming out of the first week of spring camp thus far is that Neyor looks destined to lock up one of the starting spots in the receiving corps by the fall.

On the first day of spring practice, Neyor was working with the third team for most of the drills he got reps in. But it shouldn’t be long before he gets more reps in spring camp with the first and second teams.
