4 elite 2023 recruits visiting Texas this weekend

We’ve now arrived at the point of the list with the most important running back target for the Longhorns 2023 class. The elite five-star El Campo running back and former Texas commit Rueben Owens is one of the most critical visitors on tap for this weekend for the Longhorns staff.

It’s hard to really call the Longhorns 2023 class a success at the running back position if they don’t eventually get a re-commitment from Owens. The one-time Texas commit is clearly the top priority for the Longhorns at this position group.

While Baxter is an important target for the Longhorns 2023 class that is on the lengthy list of visitors this weekend, Owens is the most important at the running back position.

Moreover, Texas seems to have recaptured some of the momentum they originally had in the recruitment of Owens. That will need to hold through the spring for Texas to really feel good about where they sit with Owens heading into the fall.
