4 key 2023 recruits impressed by Texas’ spring visit weekend
As this weekend wraps up, there are a ton of storylines to dissect for second-year head coach Steve Sarkisian and the 2023 and 2024 Texas football recruiting classes. Texas hosted roughly a couple dozen key targets of their 2023 and 2024 recruiting classes in the midst of the first weekend of spring ball.
Some of the highlighting prospects that are targets of the Longhorns on the recruiting trail that were in Austin visiting this weekend are the elite five-star Isidore Newman quarterback Arch Manning, three-star Isidore Newman tight end Will Randle, and four-star Del Valle wide receiver Braylon James, among quite a few others.
Arch was obviously the highlighting target of the Longhorns on the recruiting trail visiting Austin this weekend. But the caliber of some of the recruits on campus this weekend for Sark and the Longhorns staff could make for a point in the recruiting timeline that really helps to shape how the 2023 signing class turns out this coming winter.

Moreover, it looks like the Texas staff did well to make positive impressions where they needed to. That is good news for the Longhorns moving forward, as you have to feel good about their chances to eventually win the race to land a commitment from Manning. That would help Texas see the rest of the pieces fall into place, at least on the offensive side of the ball, in building out the 2023 class.
Hopefully this is also a trend that holds true through another important set of visitors coming to campus next weekend for the Longhorns. Texas has done well on the recruiting trail so far this spring by most indications. That is an important trend for the Longhorns to also build on the success of the 2022 signing class.
With all of that in mind, here’s a look into four key 2023 Longhorns recruits seemingly impressed by the festivities during this important visit weekend.
