Another really important offensive linemen that is prioritized on the big board for Flood and the Longhorns 2023 class is the rising three-star Wakeland (TX) offensive tackle Connor Stroh. Texas would do well to start building a foundation in the trenches on the offensive side of the ball in the 2023 class by hauling in a commitment from Stroh this offseason.

And it looks like a realistic goal for Flood and the Longhorns staff to reel in a pledge from Stroh in the not-too-distant future this offseason. Texas just has to capitalize on the momentum they’ve had in the recruitment of Stroh since last summer.

Moreover, anytime you see a recruit as active on social media during a visit as Stroh was this weekend, you have to feel good about the connection he has with his recruiters and the coaching staff as a whole. It looks like Texas did about as well as they could to make the right impression on Stroh and his camp this weekend.

Stroh reportedly mentioned that his visit to Austin made for “a good day” and that Texas is “definitely building something special here”. It was also good to hear that Stroh noted Texas is “high up” on his list coming out of this visit weekend.

This visit with Texas comes in an important run of spring trips for Stroh. He visited with head coach Bryan Harsin and the Auburn Tigers last week in what was seemingly something that hit in a big way for Stroh.

And then, Stroh is slated to visit with the Florida State Seminoles next weekend.

It’s easy to see why this was such a crucial visit for Texas to remain in the thick of the top schools in the recruitment of Stroh this spring.
