3 new transfer targets for Texas at outset of spring camp
The headlines are starting to resurface for second-year head coach Steve Sarkisian and the Texas football program surrounding the activity in the NCAA Transfer Portal in the midst of spring ball. But this was to be expected given the fact that there was likely to be a big wave of entrants to the transfer portal over the course of spring camps around the college football landscape.
Sark and the Longhorns staff are starting to get more active in the transfer portal it appears once again since there are still a plethora of positional needs to fill on this roster.
Texas has already added four players so far this offseason by way of the transfer portal. And all four of those transfer portal additions for the Longhorns have already arrived on campus to participate in spring ball.

But we’re likely to see more additions to the team soon out of the transfer portal. In fact, it wouldn’t be surprising to see Texas get at least one more commitment out of the portal before spring camp concludes late next month.
Texas could get another round of additions out of the transfer portal on campus by the time the summer enrollment comes around and summer workouts begin.
Moreover, the first name that comes to mind in terms of the Longhorns transfer portal targets that could commit to Texas and arrive on campus by the summer is the two-time All-Big 12 former TCU Horned Frogs defensive end/edge rusher Ochaun Mathis.
