The second important visit weekend of the spring is coming up for the Texas football program in the next few days. Second-year head coach Steve Sarkisian and his staff are preparing to host another large group of targets on the recruiting trail for the 2023 and 2024 classes this weekend.

Sark and the Longhorns staff hosted multiple important blue-chip targets of the 2023 and 2024 recruiting classes last weekend. Some of the big-name recruits on campus last weekend in Austin included the elite five-star Isidore Newman quarterback Arch Manning, four-star DeSoto wide receiver Johntay Cook, and four-star Edgewater running back Cedric Baxter Jr.

Moreover, the group of visitors coming to Austin this weekend for the Longhorns consists of a combination of recruits making their way to campus for the first time in 2022 and some return visitors that were present last weekend. Some of the return visitors include three-star North Crowley linebacker S’Maje Burrell and Cook, among a couple of other recruits.

This coming weekend will hopefully serve as a momentum-builder on the recruiting trail for the Longhorns to continue to beef up their 2023 and 2024 classes. It feels like Texas is already moving toward a colossal summer in terms of building out the 2023 class. And a successful visit weekend over the course of the next few days will only help the cause in that regard.

It is needless to say that this weekend will be a crucial one on the recruiting trail for the Longhorns.

Here’s a look at four key recruits to note visiting Texas this weekend that are targets of the 2023 class.
