Texas trending for teammate of Arch Manning, 3-Star TE Will Randle
For the second straight weekend, second-year head coach Steve Sarkisian and his staff will be hosting some of the biggest Texas football recruiting targets of the 2023 and 2024 classes on campus. Last weekend, the main headlines surrounded the visit of the five-star Isidore Newman quarterback and Texas’ top target of the 2023 recruiting class Arch Manning.
Another one of the important Longhorns targets for the 2023 class that visited last weekend was the rising three-star Isidore Newman tight end Will Randle. As another priority target on the board for the Longhorns 2023 class for this cycle, Randle is still a name to watch despite sometimes being overshadowed by his high-profile teammate.
Moreover, it is the responsibility special teams coordinator/tight ends coach Jeff Banks to continue to make the right impression with Randle as this offseason moves along. But it looks like Banks and the Longhorns are doing a great job on the recruiting trail with Randle of late.
A report from 247Sports last week indicates that Texas did a great job on the visits with Manning and Randle last weekend. Texas continues to impress with this pair of Isidore Newman teammates in the midst of spring ball.

And some of those efforts for the Longhorns on the recruiting trail with Manning and Randle could start to pay dividends in the near future. That looks to really be the case with Randle too.
Texas is making a ton of progress with Randle, which is indicated by the On3 recruiting prediction machine giving the Longhorns heavy favor in the race to land a commitment from Randle. The On3 RPM gives Texas nearly a 98 percent chance to land the commitment of Randle over the rest of the competition.
Justin Wells of Inside Texas also put in a prediction with pretty high confidence projecting Texas to get the pledge of Randle. And that prediction from Wells was placed on March 30, so it is fairly recent.
If Texas continues making moves with Randle the way they have of late, it could soon result in another commitment for their 2023 class.
Randle would be a key addition at the tight end position in the 2023 class. And he could help Texas continue to make headway with Arch.
Texas currently holds commitments from two blue-chip recruits in their 2023 class as of the afternoon of March 31. The most recent commit in the Longhorns 2023 class is the touted four-star C.E. King defensive lineman Dylan Spencer.
