More than two weeks into spring camp, there are a number of storylines worth noting for second-year head coach Steve Sarkisian and the Texas football program that continue to develop. One of the most important developing storylines of spring camp for Texas is almost always position changes, and that is the case again this offseason.

Sark and the Longhorns staff have made around a half-dozen position changes of note in spring ball thus far. But that number could grow depending on how the depth chart shakes out at various positions of need. Position changes could also occur once more new additions to the program arrive during the summer (the actual changes would take place in fall camp).

Most of the significant position changes for the Longhorns have taken place on the defensive side of the ball this spring. Texas has moved a lot of pieces around in the secondary specifically as they try to improve the results in the back end of the defense this fall, which is a must for Pete Kwiatkowski and co.

Some of the position changes that took place this spring have already started to pan out pretty well for this coaching staff by most accounts. And that is good news given some of the positional needs the coaching staff is trying to address with the changes made thus far.

With that in mind, here’s a look at three Longhorns players that are already excelling in their new positions so far in spring camp.
