This weekend is not going to be the same for second-year head coach Steve Sarkisian and his staff on the trail for Texas football recruiting compared to the previous two. Texas had two enormous recruiting weekends in terms of hosting visitors to round out the month of March and kickoff April.

Sark and the Longhorns staff will still be hosting a few key visitors of note, though, this weekend as they take continue to take part in spring practice. With Texas looking to continue building a wave of momentum on the recruiting trail this spring, there are still going to be visits that the fans shouldn’t overlook.

Who are the most important Texas football visitors to watch this weekend?

With that in mind, the goal moving forward for the Longhorns staff is going to be turning this foundation they’ve built on the recruiting trail in the winter and spring into actual results entering the summer. Texas could have a huge summer on the recruiting trail. But they’ll have to continue to make the right impression with their top targets, even on weekends like this one where the visitor list is much smaller.

Texas currently holds commitments from three recruits in the 2023 class and two in the 2024 class. That should change in the near future. But it’s hard to tell when Sark and the Longhorns staff are going to start getting really aggressive on the recruiting trail. That might have to wait until the summer.

Yet, here’s a look into three key recruits to note that are visiting with Sark and the Longhorns in Austin this weekend.
