With the altered spring game less than an hour away from starting for second-year head coach Steve Sarkisian and the Texas football program on April 23, there are some impressionable visitors that are on campus for the festivities. Texas is hosting roughly a couple-dozen key visitors among high school prospects for the festivities during the non-standard format Orange-White spring game.

This will be the final opportunity for Sark and the Longhorns to host important visitors on the recruiting trail in the midst of spring ball. Texas is set to wrap up an interesting bout in spring ball this offseason with the altered spring football game, which is taking place at Darrell K. Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium on April 23, with the start time set for 6 p.m. CT.

Who are some of the top Texas football recruits visiting this weekend during the spring game?

Once Texas concludes the spring game on this night, Sark and the Longhorns staff will have to wait until summer workouts begin before they will be taking part in both workouts/practice while simultaneously hosting key visiting recruits. That’s why it’s critical for Texas to have a successful visit weekend in the next couple of days.

Moreover, while the bulk of the visitors for the Longhorns in Austin this weekend are high school recruits, visitors out of the NCAA Transfer Portal are worth discussing too. All eyes will be on the former TCU Horned Frogs’ two-time All-Big 12 senior edge rusher/defensive end Ochaun Mathis, who is visiting for the second consecutive weekend during the spring game.

Mathis is definitely a visitor worth mentioning for this weekend.

But here’s a look at four important visiting recruits among high school prospects for the Longhorns to watch this weekend during the altered spring game.
