Will Randle, TE

It also wouldn’t surprise me in the slightest to see Banks and the Longhorns get a commitment from the three-star Isidore Newman tight end Will Randle before summer workouts begin on the Forty Acres. Most indications are pointing to Texas sitting firmly as the frontrunner in the race to land the commitment of Randle at the conclusion of spring camp.

Texas just got done hosting Randle for his second visit to Austin in as many months. Randle was one of the more notable visitors on campus for the spring game this weekend. And this visit might be enough for Texas to take one more step toward closing the deal with him.

Jaydon Chatman, IOL

Since last summer, Texas has hosted the touted four-star Harker Heights (TX) interior offensive lineman Jaydon Chatman for visits in Austin nearly a half-dozen times. Texas also hosted Chatman in Austin twice for visits since the turn of the calendar year.

For the last few months, I’ve firmly believed that the Longhorns are the frontrunner in the race to land a commitment from Chatman. The lone expert 247Sports Crystal Ball Prediction for Chatman projects his pledge to go to Texas. And the On3 recruiting prediction machine projects Chatman’s commitment to go to Texas.

That’s not to mention the fact that there is two expert picks in from On3 analysts/writers that project Chatman’s commitment to also land with the Longhorns.
