The first few months of the offseason managed to provide a lot of activity in the NCAA Transfer Portal for second-year head coach Steve Sarkisian and the Texas football program. For the most part, the activity in the transfer portal will slow entering the summer months since the deadline for immediate eligibility to enter the portal arrived on May 1.

Yet, there are still some uncommitted targets for Sark and the Longhorns staff in the transfer portal that will see transfer processes play out into the summer months. Those few remaining uncommitted transfer portal targets for the Longhorns will still command some headlines for the rest of the spring and on into the summer.

If Texas can round out their activity in the portal this summer on a high note, then this roster will be sure to improve compared to the one Sark had in his first year as the Longhorns’ head coach. Texas has already had a solid run adding portal players so far this offseason, outside of a handful of whiffs on targets on the defensive side of the ball (i.e. Ochaun Mathis).

That includes landing commitments from the likes of the former Ohio State Buckeyes freshman quarterback Quinn Ewers, Wyoming Cowboys redshirt freshman wide receiver Isaiah Neyor, and Alabama Crimson Tide junior tight end Jahleel Billingsley, among a couple of others.

What lies next for Sark and the Longhorns staff in the transfer portal this offseason relies on filling the few remaining scholarship spots on this roster to upgrade at positions of need. With that in mind, here’s a look at four former blue-chip recruits the Longhorns should target out of the portal after the latest spring wave of transfers.
