Texas football getting bevy of analyst forecasts for 5-Star Arch Manning
This will be an enormous summer on the recruiting trail for second-year head coach Steve Sarkisian and the Texas football program. Given the fact that the Texas coaching staff is planning on strategically timing their visitor lists for the summer visit season based on those recruiting targets that are making decisions around that point in time, there is bound to be a ton of activity on the trail in the next couple of months.
And there will be no bigger decision that the Longhorns faithful will be watching this summer (if he does announce his decision at that point in time) than the elite five-star Isidore Newman quarterback Arch Manning. Arch is definitely the biggest target for Sark, quarterbacks coach AJ Milwee, and the Longhorns on the recruiting trail for any cycle this offseason.
It’s starting to look like the Longhorns are gaining an edge as a potential pacesetter at this point of the offseason in the race to land a commitment from Manning. Most of the leading indicators pointing to the Longhorns as the potential pacesetter in the recruitment of Arch are coming from On3 and Rivals.
Texas football now setting the pace to land a commitment from 5-Star QB Arch Manning?
There are now four expert forecasts from On3 analysts that project Arch’s commitment to go to Texas. Three of those forecasts for Manning were put in over the course of the last 48-72 hours.
And the four expert forecasts from On3 analysts for Manning go back to March 8.
There is a pretty high level of confidence, all things considered, with most of these expert picks for Manning as of this week.
Moreover, the most recent analyst pick in the Rivals FutureCast (from back in March) projects Manning’s commitment to go to Texas.
This makes the last five analyst predictions from the major recruiting outlets for Manning all in favor of Texas over the likes of the Georgia Bulldogs and Alabama Crimson Tide. That is a very notable development just ahead of the summer visit season for Sark and the Longhorns staff.
It is expected that Manning will take his official visits to the presumed top three schools in his recruitment this summer. Manning could also take official visits with other schools making runs at him entering the summer including the LSU Tigers and Virginia Cavaliers. But the trio of Texas, Georgia, and Alabama will likely set the tone in Manning’s recruitment the rest of the way.
Manning has taken three unofficial visits each with his trio of presumed top schools since last summer. And that number is likely to move to four with Manning planning his first official visit with Texas, Georgia, and Alabama starting next month.
